Things to do in Nashville
Nashville is the perfect setting to share your research ideas, enjoy the company of your colleagues, and experience all the Fall activities and ideal weather that make Nashville a top tourist attraction and year-round destination. "Music City" is the home of the Grand Ole Opry, the "mother church" of country music - the Ryman Auditorium, Country Music Hall of Fame, Centennial Park with the Parthenon, historic waterfront downtown, filled with every kind of restaurant and music venue. Tennessee's capital city is home to professional football, baseball, and hockey, as well as being home to 27 colleges and universities. The General Jackson Showboat offers daily cruises complete with optional meal and show; TPAC offers world-class Broadway shows and musicals, and the Nashville Zoo is a popular destination. There are also many fine tours of museums, antebellum mansions, and stars' homes. Several links have been provided below that give more detailed information of the city's highlights, as well as helpful travel tips and information.
